Kesari Veer: Suniel Shetty portrays Vegda Ji, a fierce warrior
“Kesari Veer: Legends of Somnath” is one of the most anticipated biographical dramas of 2025, and its creators have increased the anticipation by revealing an intriguing first look at Suniel Shetty from the movie.
Shetty portrays the fearless warrior Vegda Ji in the striking new poster. Wearing a rough outfit and brandishing a bloody axe, Shetty’s face is fierce and ferocious. With warriors dispersed over the field and the famous Somnath temple in Gujarat as the backdrop, the still depicts a high-stakes conflict.
A stirring background score enhances Shetty’s dramatic performance and sets the scene for a titanic conflict to save the holy temple from intruders.
In the film, Sooraj Pancholi portrays youthful Rajput prince Veer Hamirji Gohil, an unsung hero, while he embodies the unstoppable Vegda Ji. With her romantic song opposite Pancholi’s character, debutante Akanksha Sharma gives the drama a poignant touch, while Vivek Oberoi plays the role of the dangerous antagonist Zafar.
Pancholi previously discussed his support and friendship with Shetty, both on and off screen, as he reflected on their relationship. “I’ve always admired Suniel Sir as a movie star, so getting to collaborate with him on Kesari Veer was a dream come true,” Suniel Shetty remarked. In addition to being a superb actor, he has been a motivating mentor to me throughout my career.
