TATA WPL 2023: The 2023 Women’s Premier League
Women currently have many opportunities in Indian cricket. They exhibit high performance standards on “the pitch” and have the opportunity to set new records for women’s cricket. Influenced by the introduction of a new format for T20 matches similar to the IPL (Indian Premier League).

Harmanpreet Kaur
In the Women’s Premier League’s inaugural season, Mumbai Indians will be captained by Harmanpreet Kaur (WPL). Smriti Mandhana

She has won the ICC Player of the Year award twice, and her 87-run T20I total against Ireland advanced her team to the South Africa T20 World Cup semifinals. At the 2022 Commonwealth Games, she achieved her greatest performance, scoring 159 runs in five games with a fantastic strike rate of 151.42.
Alyssa Healy
Alyssa Healy, an Australian cricket player, has been named the squad captain by UP Warriorz. Healy is among the women’s cricket players with the most recognisable faces. She has participated in 139 T20 International games for Australia and has amassed nearly 2,500 runs, including one century and 14 fifties. She is not just a superb batter but also one of the best wicket keepers in the game, having caused 110 T20I dismissals. She has won the T20 World Cup five times and was a member of the Australian team that won the ODI World Cup in New Zealand last year. Healy scored 2446 runs for Australia in 139 T20 Internationals. In the Women’s Big Bash League, she also served as the Sydney Sixers’ captain (WBBL).
Sneh Rana
Sneh Rana, an all-rounder for India, was chosen Gujarat Giants’ captain on Thursday after Beth Mooney was forced to withdraw from the rest of the first Women’s Premier League due to a calf injury. The Aussie hurt himself while batting against the Mumbai Indians on March 4 at the DY Patil Stadium, which served as the tournament’s opening match. Mooney would probably need four to six weeks to get back to 100% fitness.
Sneh Rana, a key member of the national team and one of the most recognisable figures in Indian cricket, is currently. ‘It’s a beginning of something really big’ – Sachin Tendulkar has high hopes for future of Women’s Premier League. “Fantastic; first of all, a big-big congratulations to BCCI because this is a great initiative. As I said, the first innings were played well by BCCI, and now second innings, we have to support women cricketers.
