    During its Team ’24 Europe conference, Atlassian, a leading provider of team collaboration and productivity software, announced the general availability of Rovo, an AI-powered tool that enables teams to unlock organizational knowledge at scale, less than six months after its introduction.

    It was announced alongside a host of new AI capabilities across its product suite, empowering teams to unlock greater levels of productivity and collaboration. Atlassian also unveiled new features and a new look for its flagship product Jira that make it easier, more flexible, and powerful for all types of work.

    Mike Cannon-Brookes, CEO and co-founder, Atlassian said, “Rovo is one of the most ambitious and important products we’ve ever built. I’m thrilled we can get it into our customers’ hands just five months after we first announced it in Las Vegas.

    Rovo: Unlocking organizational knowledge at scale

    Powered by generative AI and the teamwork graph, Rovo seamlessly integrates into the Atlassian platform, and helps speed up work by making it easier to access the information teams need. Teams are already saving 1-2 hours of time per week on average, with 75% of beta users saying Rovo helps them get work done faster and 80% say Rovo helps them find the right information at the right time.

    With the newly announced Rovo Search Connectors, Rovo Data Center Connectors, and the Rovo Browser Extension, these teamwork graphs become even richer as they get access to more sources. The search connectors also provide more knowledge to Rovo Chat, helping teams get the answers they need without switching tabs. Teams globally are pulling Rovo Agents into workflows to get better outcomes, while simultaneously saving hours or even days.

    AI-powered innovation across the Atlassian suite

    To improve collaboration and empower teams, Atlassian infused AI into all its products under the Atlassian Intelligence umbrella. The newest in-product AI features help customers reduce friction for developers, promote better collaboration across all teams, and accelerate service delivery and incident management. The key highlights include:

    • Jira: The new AI capabilities automatically break down work items, generate tickets, and streamline project management.
    • Jira Service Management: The AI-powered agents now assist with incident management, resource allocation, and post-incident reviews.
    • Development Tools: AI assists developers with code generation, analysis, and pull request reviews, boosting velocity and code quality.

    A refreshed Jira for all teams

    Earlier this year, Atlassian announced the next evolution of Jira – a shared place for every team to align on goals and priorities, track and collaborate on work, and get the insights they need to build something incredible, together.

    Today at Team 24 Europe, Atlassian shared a refreshed and improved Jira experience to empower all teams to collaborate effectively and achieve ambitious goals. Now, Jira is bringing more flexibility to support any team’s work style, through a new customizable sidebar that simplifies navigation and brings AI-powered search front and center. There are also new background colors, images, and card covers to take personalization even further.

    To better reflect Jira’s expanded user base to all teams, issues will no longer be the default name in Jira and teams can choose what to call their work (whether it’s “task” or “launch” or “issue”). Teams can also create custom project templates with pre-configured workflows, automations, permissions, and more, to scale their ways of working while remaining consistent.

    Since Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced 5G in October 2022, users in India have used about 3.6 times as much mobile data traffic as 4G users, according to a report released on Wednesday.

    Additionally, in 2023, the average monthly data traffic per user increased by 24% year over year to reach 24.1 gigabytes per user per month.

    In India, the ecosystem for 5G devices is developing quickly; of the 796 million active 4G devices, 134 million are now 5G capable. This represents 17% of the total.

    “5G data consumption has been four times faster than 4G in India”, according to the ‘Nokia Mobile Broadband Index’ report.

    Users used 17.4 exabytes per month in 2023, growing at a rate of 26% over the previous five years.

    According to the findings, the introduction of 5G has emerged as a major catalyst for the increase in data usage, accounting for 15% of all data traffic in 2023.

    Tarun Chhabra, Head of Mobile Networks Business at Nokia (India), stated, “What is immediately obvious is the incredible proliferation of 5G technology across India and the increasing demand for super-fast 5G data speeds.”

    All telecom circles have seen significant increases in 5G traffic, with metro areas leading the way and accounting for 20% of all mobile data traffic.
    According to the report, future 5G growth will be accelerated by improved 5G availability and performance, a wide range of reasonably priced devices, and the launch of new data-intensive apps and services.

    According to the report, 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) users are anticipated to use 2.5 times more data than average 5G users, making FWA a crucial enabler for new services in both the home and business.

     Childrens – Fewer than two in every 100 packed lunches eaten by children in primary schools meet nutritional standards, according to a new study.

    According to the researchers from University of Leeds, who conducted a major survey in UK, the lack of fresh food is to blame.

    “This study underlines the role that parents, carers, the government and the food industry have in ensuring children eat more healthily,” said study researcher Charlotte Evans from University of Leeds.

    “The research has found that on some fronts, packed lunches have improved but they are still dominated by sweet and savoury snack food and sugary drinks. The vast majority provide poor nutritional quality. Addressing that issue over the next 10 years will require a concerted effort,” Evans added.

    For the findings, published in the journal BMJ Open, the research compared the nutritional quality of packed lunches brought into a sample of primary schools in 2006 and then in 2016.

    The results reveal how the nutritional quality of lunchboxes has changed over 10 years.

    It is estimated that more than half of primary schoolchildren take a packed lunch to school.

    Over the 10-year period, the researchers found that many children did not have any dairy foods in their lunch, and meals did not meet the recommended standard for calcium.

    There was a reduction in the number of packed lunches meeting the standards for vitamin A, vitamin C and zinc.

    According to the study, there was no reduction in saturated fats. There was no reduction in the portion size of crisps.

    The researchers said the food industry has not focused on reducing the size of savoury snacks in the same way it has on sweet snacks.

    Although the amount of sugary food in lunchboxes declined over ten years it is still higher than recommended.

    The researchers investigated whether packed lunches met the food standards that apply to cooked meals in England’s schools.

    Since 2006, eight standards have been introduced for cooked school lunches. Confectionery, savoury snacks and sweetened drinks are restricted while vegetables, protein and dairy have to be included in each meal.Packed lunches, however, are not subject to any control.

    The researchers found that the percentage of packed lunches meeting all eight food standards was very small, increasing slightly from 1.1 per cent in 2006 to 1.6 per cent over ten years.

    “Improving what children eat at school will help reduce the risk of childhood obesity,” Evans said.

    “He is a shy person but on camera he gets into the skin of the character, and gets personally attached with all other characters. He is younger than me, but I really got to learn a lot from him. He makes his co-actors very comfortable on the set,” said Manurishi.

    He recalled bonding with Ayushmann as a writer: “Ayushmann and I, we both used to discuss poetry a lot as he is also fond of writing and I’m a professional writer. We had great tuning. He is a brave actor since he gives a lot of importance to script and content, along with doing hero centric roles, which I really like.”

    Ayushmann is a team player, Manurishi said:

    “He understands cinema and script is all about the team”, he said.

    On Neena Gupta, who also features in the cast, he added: “Neena Gupta, she is quite strict, but I was very much impressed by her journey. Gradually, we became good friends. She is very lively on the set. I really admire her journey.”

    “Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan” opens on February 21.

    RBI – The financial health of public sector banks (PSBs) should increasingly be assessed by their ability to access capital markets without excessive dependence on the government, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said in a report released on Tuesday.

    In report “Trend and Progress of Banking in India 2018-19”, the central bank said that the government has been infusing capital in some PSBs, just enough to meet the regulatory minimum including capital conservation buffer (CCB).

    That apart, the deferment of the implementation of the last tranche of CCB till March 31, 2020 has offered some breathing space to these banks, said RBI.

    “Going forward, the financial health of PSBs should increasingly be assessed by their ability to access capital markets rather than looking at the government as a recapitaliser of the first and last resort,” it said.

    The RBI said that PSBs led the recovery in capital ratios for the banking sector in 2018-19. They were recapitalised with Rs 90,000 crore in FY18 and another Rs 1.06 trillion was infused into these banks in FY19. This bolstered their capital position, even as they battled with the overhang of impaired assets.

    Private banks (PVBs) and foreign banks (FBs) remained well-capitalised and above the regulatory minimum of 10.875 per cent in March 2019. However, private banks experienced a marginal decline in capital adequacy ratio in 2018-19 after the reclassification of IDBI Bank as a private bank.

    According to the report, 2018-19 marked a turnaround taking shape in the financial performance of India’s commercial banking sector.

    “After seven years of deterioration, the overhang of stressed assets declined and fresh slippages were arrested. With the concomitant reduction in provisioning requirements, bottom lines improved modestly after prolonged stress and the banking sector returned to profitability after a gap of two years in the first half of FY20,” it said.
