Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, who welcomed their first child on September 8, 2024, revealed their daughter’s name during the auspicious occasion of Diwali.

Deepika Padukone used Instagram to reveal photos of her daughter’s feet. She captioned the photo, “Dua Padukone Singh.” Deepika clarified, “Dua means ‘a prayer’ because she is the answer to our prayers.” The actress continued, “Our hearts are filled with love and gratitude. – Deepika and Ranveer.”

Deepika and Ranveer started dating while filming ‘Ram Leela’. They married in 2018. They got married on Lake Como, Italy. They held two wedding ceremonies: one in South Indian tradition and one in Sindhi style. Deepika and Ranveer shared their wedding video on ‘Koffee With Karan’.

After six years of marriage, they welcomed their first child in November 2024. Deepika was admitted to the hospital on November 7th and delivered her baby on November 8th.

On the work front, Ranveer Singh’s flick ‘Singham Again’ opened in theaters on November 1. Ranveer Singh reprises his role as Simba in the film, assisting Singham in his fight against the villain Arjun Kapoor.

Deepika Padukone also appears briefly in ‘Singham Again’ as Shakti Shetty. Her dialogue in the teaser ‘Main Singham nahi, Lady Singham Hai’ has already piqued everyone’s interest. Ranveer Singh recently stated at a press conference that his baby has already made a debut, as Deepika filmed for ‘Singham Again’ while pregnant.

Deepika previously appeared in ‘Kalki’ and ‘Fighter’. While ‘Kalki’ did well, ‘Fighter’ did not match the makers’ hopes. While nothing is definite, according to several sources, Deepika will next appear in the film ‘The Intern’.
